When I finished this cardigan, and tried it on for the first time, I felt both beautiful and sophisticated. I could see myself sitting in the French salons with a glass of wine and in good company. At that moment it was a given, the cardigan would be called Simone after the philosopher, author and feminist Simone de Beauvoir.
The cardigan is block knitted, which gives it its fine structure. I chose to make it without elastic and instead crochet around all edges when the cardigan was fully assembled. I left the sleeves a little shorter than normal because this is a cardigan I like to wear when I work and then I do not want to have to pull up the sleeves all the time. But if you want me to make them a little longer, there are no problems.
The yarn is 100% sheep wool from Sweden. It is a thin and fine yarn that creates a light cardigan. The buttons are made of wood.
