The day I photographed the finished towels, it was snowing, ice and cold. The thoughts about what the towel would be called got a natural connection to winter. Winter I associate partly with the Moomin Valley and then my admirable woman is given: Tove Jansson. The towel collection had got its name!
The towels are knitted in a pattern that gives them a nice structure. At the bottom and top they are stockinette stitch and I have chosen to make a folding edge. I weave the towel straps myself with the same yarn used to create the towels.
I combine two different yarn threads for these towels. Partly a yarn that is 100% organic cotton and then another yarn that consists of hemp, cotton and modal. This gives the towels a good absorbency and gives them a slightly rough feeling, which I appreciate.
If you want to order more than one towel , go to the product called "Knitted haddukar 2-pack" because then you get a cheaper price.
